Cutter Aviation

Cutter AviationWilliam P. Cutter founded Cutter Flying Service Inc., in 1928 to serve a fledgling aviation community. The company survived the Great Depression, and, at the outbreak of World War II, became major pilot training facility for the United States military. In addition to basic flight training, many pilots were trained for glider operations, and the U.S. Navy designated Cutter as a Naval.combatics School.

In 1947, the company began its long-standing affiliation with Beech Aircraft Corporation. This move only seemed natural. A quality product was now represented by a quality organization. From the time our first Beechcraft airplane was delivered, our company became — and continues to be —synonymous with Beechcraft, a Raytheon company.

Cutter Aviation, Inc., first opened its doors in Phoenix in 1959. Our El Paso facility opened in 1982, our Deer Valley facility opened in 1997, our San Antonio facility opened in 1998, and our Dallas facility opened in 2002. The Phoenix, Deer Valley, Albuquerque, and Dallas facilities are full-service, fixed- base operations, and El Paso provides line services for transient aircraft. San Antonio and Dallas offer aircraft and part sales as well as maintenance capabilities. Together, they deliver exceptional Raytheon sales and service expertise.
